Foreword

GB/T 38048 "Surface Cleaning Appliances" is divided into the following parts.

---Part 1.General requirements for test materials and equipment;

---Part 2.Test methods for the performance of household and similar dry vacuum cleaners;

---Part 3.Test methods for the performance of wet carpet cleaning appliances.

This part is Part 1 of GB/T 38048.

This section was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

This part uses the redrafting method to amend and adopt IEC TS62885-1.2018 "Surface cleaning appliances Part 1.Test materials and equipment

General Requirements for Equipment.

The technical differences between this part and IEC TS62885-1.2018 and the reasons are as follows.

---Regarding normative reference documents, this section has made adjustments with technical differences to adapt to my country's technical conditions and adjustments.

The situation is collectively reflected in Chapter 2 "Normative Reference Documents", and the specific adjustments are as follows.

* Deleted IEC 62885-2.-(CDV file of.2017 edition);

* Added reference to GB/T 20291.1-2014;

--- Change the reference to "IEC 62885-2.-5.3 and 6.2" in 4.2.2 to see Appendix B and Appendix C;

--- Change the reference "IEC 62885-2.-5.3" in 5.2 to "in accordance with Appendix B";

This section also made the following editorial changes.

1 Scope

This part of GB/T 38048 specifies the test equipment and materials used for the general test of some products in the "surface cleaning appliance" series of standards.

The physical properties of the material. In addition, this section provides guidance on the evaluation of Wilton and other types of carpets to determine their suitability for testing.

Receptivity.

This section applies to materials and equipment used in the test of surface cleaning appliances.

Note. This section only involves Wilton carpets and their treatment.
