Foreword

GB/T 38020 "Table shell and its accessories gold alloy cover" is divided into two parts.

--- Part 1. General requirements;

--- Part 2. Testing for purity, thickness, corrosion resistance and adhesion.

This part is the first part of GB/T 38020.

This part is drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

This section uses the redrafting method to modify the use of ISO 3160-1.1998 "Table shells and their accessories gold alloy coverings Part 1.

General requirements".

The technical differences between this part and ISO 3160-1.1998 and their reasons are as follows.

---About the normative reference documents, this part has made technical adjustments to adapt to China's technical conditions, adjustments

The situation is reflected in Chapter 2, "Regulatory Citations", and the specific adjustments are as follows.

--- Replace the ISO 3160-3.1993 with GB/T 33725 modified by international standards, because ISO 3160-3.1993 has been scrapped

And replaced by ISO 23160.2011;

--- Replace ISO 3160-2.1992 with GB/T 38020.2 modified to international standards.

This section also made the following editorial changes.

---Incorporate ISO 3160-1.1998/Amendment 1.2000 into this section, and use vertical in the outer margin of the corresponding clause

3 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1

Gold-plated overlay gold-platedcovering

A gold alloy coating obtained by electroplating, electroless plating or other methods.

3.2

Rolled gold covered layered-goldcovering

A gold alloy coating layer obtained by bonding a gold alloy foil to a base plate or a bar by a calendering method.

3.3

Gold cover goldcapping

A gold alloy coating that can be permanently coated on the surface of the part obtained by different methods.

3.4

Effective surface

The surface portion of the gold alloy cover that is important for the appearance and durability of the part.

3.5

Purity

The proportion of gold in gold alloys. Usually expressed in thousands of points.
