In addition to structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows.

a) The requirements and test methods of "nickel release" have been changed (see 4.1.7, 4.1.7 of the.2016 edition);

b) The test method "thickness measurement" has been changed (see 5.3, 5.3 of the.2016 edition);

c) Changed the "adhesion test" (see 5.4, 5.4 of the.2016 edition);

d) Changed the "corrosion resistance test" (see 5.5, 5.5 of the.2016 edition);

e) Changed the "simulated wear and corrosion test" (see 5.7.2, 5.7.2 of the.2016 edition);

f) The "color measurement" test method has been changed (see 5.8, 5.8 of the.2016 edition).

This document is equivalent to ISO 16253.2017 "Vapor Deposition Coatings for Watch Cases and Their Accessories".

The following minimal editorial changes have been made to this document.
