Foreword

This document was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2020,

Directives for standardization - Part 1: Rules for the structure and drafting of

standardizing documents.

This document is part 3 of GB/T 38010 "Spectacle frames and sunglasses

electronic catalogue and identification". The following parts have been released

for GB/T 38010:

-- Part 1: Product identification and electronic catalogue product hierarchy;

-- Part 2: Commercial information;

-- Part 3: Technical information.

This document uses the redrafting method to modify and adopt ISO 10685-

3:2012 "Ophthalmic optics - Spectacle frames and sunglasses electronic

catalogue and identification - Part 3: Technical information".

The technical differences between this document and ISO 10685-3:2012 and

the reasons are as follows:

-- With regard to the normative references, this document makes technical

adjustments to adapt to the technical conditions of China. The

adjustments are concentrated in Chapter 2 "Normative references". The

specific adjustments are as follows:

* Use GB/T 38010.1 which modifies and adopts international standards

to replace ISO 10685-1;

* Use GB/T 38010.2 which modifies and adopts international standards

to replace ISO 10685-2.

-- Add examples in Table 1, Table 2 and Table 3, to facilitate understanding

of the meaning of the elements.

-- Delete Appendix A, Appendix B and Appendix C of ISO 10685-3:2012;

delete the involved normative reference documents at the same time.

This document makes the following editorial changes:

-- Change the name of this document to ''Spectacle frames and sunglasses

electronic catalogue and identification - Part 3: Technical information'', to

be consistent with our country's standard system;

-- Delete the informative Appendix D and references of ISO 10685-3:2012.

1 Scope

This document specifies the technical information and file format of spectacle

frames and sunglasses for trade use, and optimizes the transaction and

processing of customized lenses (matching specified spectacle frames).

This document applies to spectacle frames and sunglasses, as well as

sunglasses clips and sets of lenses.

2 Normative references

The contents of the following documents constitute the indispensable clauses

of this document through normative references in the text. For dated references,

only the version corresponding to that date is applicable to this document; for

undated references, the latest version (including all amendments) is applicable

to this document.
