Foreword

This document was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2020,

Directives for standardization - Part 1: Rules for the structure and drafting of

standardizing documents.

This document is part 2 of GB/T 38010 "Spectacle frames and sunglasses

electronic catalogue and identification". The following parts have been released

for GB/T 38010:

-- Part 1: Product identification and electronic catalogue product hierarchy;

-- Part 2: Commercial information;

-- Part 3: Technical information.

This document uses the redrafting method to modify and adopt ISO 10685-

2:2016 "Ophthalmic optics - Spectacle frames and sunglasses electronic

catalogue and identification - Part 2: Commercial information".

Compared with ISO 10685-2:2016, this document has structural adjustments.

Due to the deletion of Chapter 4 Abbreviations, subsequent chapter numbers

have been changed.

The technical differences between this document and ISO 10685-2:2016 and

the reasons are as follows:

-- With regard to the normative references, this document makes technical

adjustments to adapt to the technical conditions of China. The

adjustments are concentrated in Chapter 2 "Normative references". The

specific adjustments are as follows:

* Use GB/T 38010.1 which modifies and adopts international standards

to replace ISO 10685-1;

-- Delete Chapter 4 of ISO 10685-2:2016.

-- Add examples in Table 1, Table 2 and Table 3, to facilitate understanding

of the meaning of the elements.

This document makes the following editorial changes:

-- Change the standard name to ''Spectacle frames and sunglasses

electronic catalogue and identification - Part 2: Commercial information'',

to be consistent with our country's technical standard system;

Introduction

The GB/T 38010 "Spectacle frames and sunglasses electronic catalogue and

identification" series standards are about the regulations on the form and format

of information data of products between the trading parties during international

trade of sunglasses and spectacle frames. Standardizing the involved outer

packaging barcode and electronic information language will help our country's

spectacle frame and sunglasses manufacturers to expand into the international

market, and have unified guidelines for basic information exchange when

conducting international business.

GB/T 38010 is intended to be composed of three parts:

-- Part 1: Product identification and electronic catalogue product hierarchy.

The purpose is to establish the basic form of bar codes for international

trade in spectacle frames and sunglasses, as well as the character rules

for the content of product information in the electronic information

exchange language XML.

-- Part 2: Commercial information. The purpose is to establish the character

rules for the commercial information content of products in XML, the

electronic information exchange language for spectacle frames and

sunglasses.

-- Part 3: Technical information. The purpose is to establish the character

rules for the technical information content of the product in XML, the

electronic information exchange language for spectacle frames and

sunglasses.

Based on the GB/T 38010 series standards, both the supply and demand sides

of sunglasses and spectacle frames can quickly check information, exchange

information between the two parties, make sure that the information in the

production link is correct, and the products in the trade link are correct, improve

the trade frequency and satisfaction, and reduce unnecessary mistakes.

1 Scope

This document specifies the commercial information and file format of spectacle

frames and sunglasses for trade use.

This document applies to spectacle frames, sunglasses, and sunglasses clips

and sets of lenses.

2 Normative references

The contents of the following documents constitute the indispensable clauses

of this document through normative references in the text. For dated references,

only the version corresponding to that date is applicable to this document; for

undated references, the latest version (including all amendments) is applicable

to this document.
