1 Scope

This part of GB/T 38000 specifies the basic requirements of the object identification system (such as products, "projects", documents, etc., excluding humans

body). It focuses on setting an identifier for the object to facilitate reference to the object.

Does not involve the cause of the object classification and whether the verification object is the required object.

This section includes human readable and machine readable representations of identifiers for use in building identifiers and identifying codes.

This section also includes applications and their exchange requirements for identifiers in computer identifiable form that are compliant with the system.

Does not include physical file or transport format (syntax) specifications for information exchange between computers, and does not include physical media [such as text

Parts, barcodes, radio frequency identification (RFID), etc.], specifications and transmission formats for information exchange and marking of identification information on objects.
