Scope
GB/T 3780.26-2018 is the English-translated version of 炭黑 第26部分:炭黑原料油中碳含量的测定.
GB/T 3780.26-2018 is the part of the Chinese carbon black series that sets out an instrumental method for determining the carbon content of carbon black feedstock oils.
It covers feedstocks from petroleum, coal and other fuels, such as residues, asphalt and reclaimed oils normally processed into a liquid oil, whose carbon content usually lies between 75% and 94%.
A weighed sample is placed in a combustion boat covered with a tungsten oxide accelerator and burned completely at 1350 °C in air or oxygen-enriched air; after water vapour and particulates are removed with magnesium perchlorate, the carbon dioxide formed is measured by an infrared absorption detector.
The standard also describes the analytical balance, the carbon analyzer and the reagents. It was issued on 17 September 2018 and has applied since 1 April 2019.

This part is drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
1 Scope
This part of GB/T 3780 specifies the method for determining the carbon content of carbon black feedstock oil by instrument.
This section applies to petroleum black materials from petroleum, coal and other fuels, residues, asphalt, reclaimed oil, etc., which are usually processed into liquids. oil. Its carbon content is usually 75% to 94%.

3 Principle
The raw material oil was weighed by a combustion boat covered with a tungsten oxide accelerator, and the sample was placed in a tube furnace at 1350 ° C by a combustion boat, and the sample was empty.
The carbon content is determined by complete combustion in gas or oxygen-enriched air. The carbon in the sample is completely oxidized to carbon dioxide. Air flow through the filling of magnesium perchlorate The trap, removes water vapor and particulates, and passes through the detection cell and is measured by an infrared (IR) absorption detector at the exact infrared spectral wavelength. Carbon dioxide concentration.
4 Instruments
4.1 Analytical balance with a graduation value of 0.1 mg.
4.2 Carbon Analyzer
a) the combustion tube and the combustion boat, made of a suitable material (such as mullite, porcelain or zircon);
b) the sample is adsorbed on the tungsten oxide promoter to control the burning rate;
c) the sample is burned at 1350 ° C in air or oxygen-enriched air;
d) the combustion gas is removed by a desiccant (anhydrous magnesium perchlorate) to remove water vapor;
e) The detection system uses an infrared (IR) absorption detector to measure carbon dioxide, the wavelength of which has a linear response over the full range of possible concentrations.
Note: Analyzers equipped with multiple element detectors (such as carbon and sulfur analyzers) are also suitable for this method.
5 Reagents and materials
5.1 Magnesium perchlorate, analytically pure.
