1 Scope
This standard specifies the product properties, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules and signs, packaging, transportation and storage of cesium fluoride crystals.

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1 Scintillation crystal
Under the action of ionizing radiation, the crystal form of the scintillator can be emitted in a blinking manner.
3.2 Energy resolution
A measure of the minimum relative difference between two particle energies that can be resolved for a given energy.
Note. In general applications, the energy resolution is calculated by the ratio of the full width at half maximum of the peak of the energy spectrum of the single energy particle measured by the spectrometer to the energy corresponding to the peak position.
When energy is expressed in pulse amplitude, the ratio is the pulse amplitude resolution.

3.3 Transmittance
The ratio of the transmitted light radiation intensity to the incident light radiation intensity.

3.4 Light output
The ratio of the number of photoelectrons emitted by the scintillation crystal to the incident radiant energy absorbed by the scintillation crystal.
Note. The unit is photoelectron number/MeV.
3.5 Faster than slower than fast-to-slowratio
The ratio of the fast decaying component to the light output of the slow attenuating component of the cesium fluoride scintillation crystal under the action of ionizing radiation.
