Foreword
GB/T 37303 "Ship and Marine Technology Ship Maneuverability" is divided into six parts.
--- Part 1. Basic concepts, quantities and test conditions;
--- Part 2. Swing and yaw correction;
--- Part 3. Heading stability and steering;
--- Part 4. Shipment, acceleration and traverse;
--- Part 5. Submarine special requirements;
--- Part 6. Special requirements for model tests.
This part is the first part of GB/T 37303.
This part is drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
This part uses the translation method equivalent to the ISO 13643-1.2017 "Ship and Marine Technology Ship Maneuverability Part 1. Basic Overview
Mind, quantity and test conditions.

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1
Manipulative manoeuvring
All manipulations, maneuverability tests, and tests or other methods used to determine maneuverability (eg, calculations, simulations, etc.).
Note. Maneuverability includes measures to maintain navigation in the event of external disturbances.
3.2
Maneuvering manoeuvre
The way in which the ship's heading and speed are changed, for submarines, also includes the way to change depth and attitude.
Note. Special handling includes departure, evasion or rescue (the crew accidentally falls into the water).
3.3
Maneuverability test manoeuvringtest
A test used to determine and evaluate the manoeuvring characteristics of a ship under the conditions specified by the standard using a real ship, a solid boat or a model.
Note. Maneuverability tests are usually similar to ship maneuvers, but specific manoeuvring characteristics should be tested as much as possible.
3.4
Computer compatible code CC-Code
Computer compatible symbols specified in the 14th International Tow Pool Meeting.
3.5
Manipulator manoeuvringdevice
Rudder, full swing propeller, horizontal rudder, straight wing propeller or other equivalent system for maneuvering ships.
