GB/T 37303 "Ship and Marine Technology Ship Maneuverability" is divided into six parts.

--- Part 3. Heading stability and steering;
--- Part 4. Shipment, acceleration and traverse;
--- Part 5. Submarine special requirements;
--- Part 6. Special requirements for model tests.
This part is the fourth part of GB/T 37303.
This part is drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
This section uses the translation method equivalent to ISO 13643-4.2017 "Ship and marine technology ship maneuverability Part 4. Ship closure,
Acceleration and traverse.

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1
Accelerated test acceleration test
A maneuverability test to determine the performance of a ship under positive or negative acceleration (deceleration).
3.2
Inertial ship stop test coastingstoptest
A maneuverability test to determine the state of the vessel after the propulsion device has been separated and/or closed.
3.3
Manipulator manoeuvringdevice
Rudder, full swing propeller, horizontal rudder, straight wing propeller or other equivalent system for maneuvering ships.
3.4
Ship stop test stoptest
The maneuverability test of the state of the ship after the reversal direction of the propulsion device is reversed is determined.
3.5
Traverse test traversingtest
A maneuverability test to determine the ship's ability to perform lateral motion, without steering and moving as much as possible in the longitudinal direction.
