1 Scope

This standard specifies the technical conditions, manufacturing process, material requirements, shape and rule of delivery of aluminum alloy drill pipe produced in accordance with ISO 15546.

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

Complete gauge completesetofgauges

A standard size smooth gauge and thread gauge are interconnected by metrological features.

3.1.2

Measuring plane gauge

It is perpendicular to the thread axis of the rotary shoulder connector and is used here as a measurement reference.

3.1.3

Proofreading gauge mastergauge

Gauge for calibrating the work gauge.

3.1.4

Pitch pitch

The axial distance between the corresponding points of adjacent threads, the pitch of the single-start thread is equal to the lead.

3.1.5

Smooth plug gauge plainpluggauge

A gauge that controls the inner diameter of the measuring surface reference of the taper thread inside the drill pipe joint or the diameter of the smooth tapered hole.
