Scope
GB/T 37181-2018 is the English-translated version of 钢筋混凝土腐蚀控制工程全生命周期 通用要求.
GB/T 37181-2018 sets the general requirements for controlling the corrosion of reinforced concrete over the whole life cycle of a corrosion control project, from initial design and development through construction, inspection, evaluation, use and maintenance to decommissioning.
Its clauses deal in turn with goals, corrosion sources, materials, technology, development, design, construction, acceptance, testing and verification, maintenance, repair, life extension, scrapping, documents and records, resources and evaluation.
It applies to the management of the related activities in all types of reinforced concrete corrosion control projects and builds on the terms of GB/T 33314-2016 on the corrosion control engineering life cycle.
Its normative references include the national codes for the construction and quality acceptance of anti-corrosion works and of concrete structures. It was issued on 28 December 2018 and has applied since 1 November 2019.

This standard specifies the general requirements for the various control elements of reinforced concrete corrosion protection throughout the life cycle of corrosion control engineering.
This standard applies to the management of related activities throughout the life cycle of various types of reinforced concrete corrosion control projects.

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions as defined in GB/T 33314-2016 apply to this document.
3.1 Reinforced concrete corrosion control engineering life cycle
Reinforced concrete from initial design and development based on materials and protective measures to construction, inspection, evaluation, use, maintenance, decommissioning process.
3.2 Corrosion source
A general term for various factors that cause or cause corrosion.
3.3 Reinforced concrete structure
A structure made mainly of concrete reinforced with steel.
3.4 Anticorrosion engineering
A general term for a project that blocks or slows down the occurrence of corrosion, methods, techniques, and corresponding engineering implementation.
