Scope

GB/T 37141.2-2018 is the English-translated version of 高海拔地区电气设备紫外线成像检测导则 第2部分:输电线路.

GB/T 37141.2-2018 is the part of the Chinese guide to ultraviolet imaging detection of electrical equipment in high altitude regions that deals with transmission lines.

It explains how to detect corona and arc discharge on AC transmission lines with UV imaging equipment: the detection conditions, the detection method, the altitude correction of the ultraviolet photon number, how to judge the type and cause of a discharge, defect classification and handling, the detection cycle and data management.

Its annexes cover the requirements for UV imaging equipment, distance correction constants, discharge parameters, photon number correction between instruments, typical discharge types and the detection report.

It applies to AC lines between 1000 m and 5000 m above sea level, and can be used as a reference for DC lines. It was issued on 28 December 2018 and has applied since 1 July 2019.

Foreword

GB/T 37141 "Guidelines for Ultraviolet Imaging Detection of Electrical Equipment in High Altitude Areas" is divided into the following sections.

--- Part 1. Substation;

--- Part 2. Transmission lines.

This part is the second part of GB/T 37141.

This part is drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

Introduction

This part is based on the research results of the discharge UV detection conducted by the relevant units in the actual transmission lines and laboratories.

The methods and criteria presented in this section are derived from examples observed in field and laboratory tests. Taking into account environmental parameters and instrument models, Version differences, different models and batches of UV imagers may not observe a completely consistent discharge in the same environment.

1 Scope

This part of GB/T 37141 specifies the detection strip for the detection of corona and arc discharge on AC transmission lines using UV imaging equipment. Parts, detection methods, altitude correction of ultraviolet photon number, discharge type and cause determination, defect classification and processing, detection cycle and data management.

This section applies to AC transmission lines in the area of 1000m ~ 5000m above sea level.

The DC transmission line corona and arc discharge can be implemented with reference to this section.

3 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions defined by DL/T 345 and DL/T 664 apply to this document.

3.1 Photon number

The number of photons detected by the UV imaging device that reflect the intensity of the discharge.

3.2 Average photon number

The average of the number of photons (3.1) detected during the specified time period.

3.3 Gain

The ratio of the ultraviolet imaging device to detecting the amplification of the photon signal.

3.4 Detection distance

The linear distance between the detected area and the lens of the UV imaging device.

4 Detection conditions

4.1 Environment

4.1.1 Wind speed is less than 5m/s.

4.1.2 Ambient temperature -30 °C ~ 45 °C.

4.1.3 Avoid interference such as electric welding, light source, and combustion. […]
