Scope

GB/T 37117-2018 is the English-translated version of 黄山黑鸡.

GB/T 37117-2018 is the breed standard for the Huangshan black chicken, a local breed from Huangshan City in Anhui Province.

It records the origin and characteristics of the breed and its appearance: a small body with black plumage and a few yellow birds, a single comb with 5 to 7 points, red wattles and earlobes, and white skin, with day-old chicks carrying black down on the back.

It gives the body weight and body measurements of cocks and hens at 43 weeks, such as body length, keel length and chest width, together with production performance and the methods used to determine it, which refer to NY/T 823.

Photographs of adult cocks, hens and flocks are given in an annex. It was issued on 28 December 2018 and has applied since 1 July 2019.

3 Source and characteristics of the variety

The origin of Huangshan Black Chicken is Huangshan City, Anhui Province. The central production areas are Jixian County and Qimen County, and all towns and towns in the city are distributed. Huangshan Black Chicken With local varieties, they are adaptable and have nesting.

4 Body appearance

Huangshan black chicken is too small. The plumage is black and a few are yellow. Iridescent orange yellow, indigo black or cyan, with a single crown, crown teeth 5 to 7 crowns, fleshy and ear leaves are red. Indigo. The skin is white.

The 1 day old chicks had black fluff on the back and grayish white on the abdomen.
