GB/T 37045-2018 is the English-translated version of 信息技术 生物特征识别 指纹处理芯片技术要求.
GB/T 37045-2018 sets the technical requirements for fingerprint processing chips, the integrated circuits that take in a fingerprint image, judge its quality, process it, extract its features, store the template and compare features.
It covers the composition of the chip, its functional requirements, the processing flow and the safety requirements, including the handling of fingerprint sensitive information such as images, templates and features.
It draws on GB/T 26237.2 for fingerprint minutiae data, GB/T 33767.4 for fingerprint image quality and GM/T 0008-2012 for security chip testing, with terms taken from GB/T 26238-2010.
It is written for the design, production, integration and application of such chips, and other fingerprint identification products may use it as a reference. It was issued on 28 December 2018 and has applied since 1 April 2019.

Foreword
This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
1 Scope
This standard specifies the composition, functional requirements, processing procedures and safety requirements of the fingerprint processing chip.
This standard applies to the design, production, integration and application of fingerprint processing chips. Fingerprint identification related products are also available for reference.

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions as defined in GB/T 26238-2010 apply to this document.
3.1 Fingerprint processing chip
Fingerprint image input, fingerprint image quality judgment, fingerprint image processing, fingerprint feature extraction, fingerprint template storage and fingerprint feature ratio A peer-to-peer integrated circuit.
3.2 Fingerprint processing dedicated module
A module dedicated to fingerprint information processing.
3.3 Fingerprint sensitive information
Fingerprint images, fingerprint templates, fingerprint features, and other data that can be used for fingerprint identification.
3.4 Fingerprint image quality judgment
A verification process for whether the fingerprint image sample quality satisfies the conditions of the fingerprint image processing.
3.5 Fingerprint feature
A collection of values or tokens that are extracted from a fingerprint sample for comparison.
3.6 Fingerprint template
A collection of fingerprint features that are stored as references when compared.
