Scope
GB/T 36804-2018 is the English-translated version of 液体硅橡胶 分类与系统命名法.
China's national standard for classifying and naming liquid silicone rubber. It specifies the classification and the system nomenclature, and it applies to the classification and marking of liquid silicone rubber products. Liquid silicone rubber is supplied as two pourable components that are metered, mixed and injected into a heated mould, where they cure in seconds. That processing route is what distinguishes it from the solid silicone rubber that is milled and compression moulded, and it is why it took over the applications where silicone competes: it can be injection moulded in fully automatic cycles, it flows into thin sections and fine detail that solid rubber cannot fill, and it needs no post-cure for many uses. The products are baby bottle teats and medical tubing, keypads, seals, cookware, optical lenses for LEDs and the overmoulding on cables. A systematic nomenclature matters because the grades differ in hardness, cure system, viscosity and approval status, and buyers specify from data sheets written by many suppliers.

This standard specifies the classification and system nomenclature of liquid silicone rubber. This standard applies to the classification and marking of liquid silicone rubber products.

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1 Liquid silicone rubber liquidsiliconerubber A composition having a self-leveling or thixotropic property based on a linear polyorganosiloxane, which is in the atmosphere or heated It can be vulcanized to form an elastomer.
3.2 One-component liquid silicone rubber one-componentliquidsiliconerubber It is not necessary to add liquid silicone rubber of other substances before vulcanization.
3.3 Two-component liquid silicone rubber two-componentliquidsiliconerubber A two-part mixture of liquid silicone rubber is required before vulcanization.
3.4 Multi-component liquid silicone rubber multi-componentliquidsiliconerubber At least three parts of liquid silicone rubber are required before vulcanization.
4 Classification and system nomenclature
4.1 General Liquid silicone rubbers are classified and named for product composition, cure mechanism, hardness and use.
4.2 Classification
4.2.1 Product components Liquid silicone rubber products are divided into one-component, two-component and multi-component liquid silicone rubber. The numerical codes are shown in Table 1.
