1 Scope

This standard specifies the limits and test methods for extractable chemicals in disposable latex gloves for food contact.

This standard applies to natural rubber latex, synthetic latex and its blended polymers for food production, processing and related to the catering industry.

Disposable latex gloves.

This standard does not specify physical performance requirements for extractable bioactive substances and gloves. This standard does not apply to pH values less than

Gloves used under extreme conditions of 4.5 and/or above 40 °C are not suitable for gloves that come into direct contact with greased foods.

Note. Regarding the physical performance requirements of gloves, relevant standards can be found, such as. GB 10213-2006.

This standard does not specify the conditions for the safe and rational use of gloves and their subsequent handling, packaging and storage requirements.
