GB/T 36792-2018 is the English-translated version of 阻燃化学品 溴代聚碳酸酯.
GB/T 36792-2018 is the Chinese product standard for brominated polycarbonate used as a flame retardant, made from tetrabromobisphenol A and tribromophenol. It specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking and labelling, packaging, transport and storage of the product.
The material must be a white powder, and a table of technical indicators sets the bromine content, the initial melting point, the colour in Hazen units and the free chlorine content for the phenoxy end group and tribromophenoxy end group grades.

1 Scope
This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking and labeling, packaging, transportation and storage of brominated polycarbonate.
This standard applies to brominated polycarbonates prepared from tetrabromobisphenol A and tribromophenol as raw materials for flame retardants.
