GB/T 36784-2018 is the English-translated version of 扬州鹅.
GB/T 36784-2018 is the Chinese national breed standard for the Yangzhou goose, a medium-sized cultivated goose breed with a fast early growth rate and no broodiness.
It specifies the breed characteristics, the appearance of adult geese and goslings - white plumage with a few grey spots, an orange-yellow hemispherical knob on the forehead, and orange beak, shanks and webs - and the body weight and body measurements of 400-day-old ganders and geese, including body length, chest depth and width, keel length and shank length.
It also covers production performance, starting with the growth rate of meat geese, and the methods used to determine these traits, with statistics following NY/T 823.

1 Scope
This standard specifies the variety characteristics, appearance characteristics, body weight, production performance and determination methods of Yangzhou goose.
This standard applies to Yangzhou goose varieties.

3 Variety characteristics
It is a medium-sized, cultivated variety with early growth rate and no nesting.
4 Appearance features
Adult goose feathers are white, and a few individuals have gray feather spots on the eye or back.
Forehead has obvious hemispherical sarcoma, orange-yellow, male goose sarcoma is larger than female goose; eyelid is light yellow; iridescent gray-blue; a few individuals have swallow bag. The male goose is majestic, the goose is beautiful, and the pleats are small. The beak, shanks and webs are orange.
The gosling down is yellowish, and the beak, shanks and webs are orange.
