Scope
GB/T 36718-2018 is the English-translated version of 节能评估技术导则 氧化铝项目.
GB/T 36718-2018 gives the technical guidelines for the energy conservation assessment of alumina projects. It applies to new, reconstructed and expanded projects producing metallurgical-grade alumina from bauxite, and other alumina technical transformation projects may refer to it.
It sets out the content and requirements of the assessment, beginning with the preparation stage: defining a scope consistent with the investment that covers energy purchase, storage, conversion, distribution and end use, including existing facilities the project relies on, and collecting basic data on the construction unit and on the project.
It draws on GB/T 31341, on the alumina energy consumption limit of GB 25327, on energy balance methods such as GB/T 28749 and GB/T 28751 and on YS/T 126 for equipment energy grades. It was issued on 17 September 2018 and has applied since 1 April 2019.

Foreword
This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
1 Scope
This standard specifies the content and requirements for energy conservation assessment of alumina projects.
This standard is applicable to the energy conservation assessment of new, modified or expanded projects producing metallurgical grade alumina from bauxite, and other alumina technical transformation projects can refer to it for implementation.

3 Terms and definitions
The terms and definitions defined in GB 25327 and GB/T 31341 apply to this document.
4 Energy conservation assessment content and requirements
4.1 Preparation
4.1.1 Determining the scope of assessment
The scope of energy conservation assessment should be consistent with the scope of investment construction, and should reflect the integrity of the project, covering the entire process of energy purchase and storage, processing and conversion, transportation and distribution, and terminal use.
When the project relies on the construction of existing facilities, the relevant energy use of existing facilities should also be included in the scope of assessment.
The organization undertaking the energy conservation assessment shall fully communicate with the project construction unit, clarify the boundary of the energy use system of the project, and determine the scope of energy conservation assessment.
4.1.2 Collecting basic information
Collect basic data of alumina projects, including.
