GB/T 36673-2018 gives the design requirements for the drill floor skidding system of self-elevating (jack-up) drilling units, the hydraulic system that skids the drill floor across the platform.
It covers the composition and function of the system, made up mainly of a skidding unit with push-pull and jacking hydraulic cylinders, a skid base and a skidding trolley, plus a control unit and accessories.
It also sets the design principles, the loads and load calculation, the technical design requirements and the layout principles, and defines the setback, the area of the drill floor that houses the stands.
It applies to the design of skidding systems on jack-up drilling platforms. It was issued on 17 September 2018 and has applied since 1 April 2019.
