The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1

Safe working load safeworkingload; SWL

The maximum load that a mooring line is allowed to withstand under normal operating conditions, in kilohertz (kN).

4 classification

4.1 Type

The cable guide rollers are divided into the following three types according to the structure.

Type A---No upper dust cover cast steel cable guide roller;

Type B---with upper dust cover cast steel cable guide roller;

Roller---The yield strength of the casting is not less than 205N/mm2, or the yield strength of the steel plate is not lower than 235N/mm2.

Roller shaft---welding steel castings have a yield strength of not less than 350N/mm2 or equivalent.

Bushing - brass or bronze or equivalent material.

7 structure

7.1 The roller of the cable guide (type C) shall be machined from steel or steel.

7.2 The base of the cable guide roller shall be determined by the shipyard and shall be in accordance with ISO 13767 and ISO 13776. In addition, the base and the hull are welded

It is necessary to be able to ensure reliable transmission between the cable drum and the hull under maximum load without any plastic deformation or cracking.

8 Manufacturing and inspection

8.1 All surfaces of the cable guide rollers shall be free of visible imperfections and defects.

8.2 All surfaces in contact with the rope shall be smooth and free of burrs.

8.3 The outer surface of the cable guide roller should be coated with at least one anti-rust paint.

8.4 All rotating parts should be equipped with grease fittings.

9 mark

9.1 According to the requirements specified in IMOCircularMSC/Circ.1175, the cable guide roller is designed for safe working load (SWL)

It should be marked on the towing and mooring layout used on board as a guideline for the master's operation.

9.2 The actual working load of the cable guide on the ship depends on the structural reinforcement of the installation below the deck.

The safe working load (SWL) indicated in the belt and mooring layout shall not be greater than the actual safe working load. Actual safety worker

The load shall not exceed the safe working load indicated in this standard.

9.3 The cable guide rollers shall clearly indicate the safe working load in a surfacing or equivalent manner. Safety work load sign should be in tons 1) (symbol

The "t") is the unit and the position of the marker should not be obscured during the mooring operation. See Appendix NA for product markings.

Example. SWL x x x t.

1) When actually marking, kN (kN) can be used according to the requirements of the relevant classification society, national legal measurement unit and users.

Appendix A

(informative appendix)

Basis for strength assessment of cable guide rollers

A.1 General

The cable pulley strength is evaluated according to the theoretical calculation of the simply supported beam and is determined by the following design criteria.

A.2 load

The cable guide rollers should be designed to withstand the following load conditions (see Figure A.1).

Description.

P--- Mooring force and towing force acting on the mooring line where the diameter of the cable guide roller is the smallest.

a The minimum diameter of the roller.

Note. As shown in the figure, the calculation load refers to the case where the rope deviation by the cable guide roller is 180°.

Figure A.1 Cable pulley calculation load

A.3 Load and stress criteria

Under the premise of safe working load (SWL).

The bending stress does not exceed 85% of the yield strength of the material;

The shear stress does not exceed 60% of the yield strength of the material.

The synthetic stress does not exceed 100% of the yield strength of the material.

A.4 Wear margin and corrosion allowance

Wear allowance and corrosion margin are included in the safety factor.
