Scope

GB/T 36576-2018 is the English-translated version of 废电池分类及代码.

GB/T 36576-2018 gives a classification and a code system for waste batteries. It defines waste batteries and battery production scrap, and sorts them first by source and then by composition into large, medium and small classes.

Each class receives a six-digit numeric code: the first two digits are the large-class code taken from GB/T 27610, where waste batteries are class 13, the next two digits are the medium class and the last two the small class.

Battery manufacturers are expected to add this six-digit code to the battery production code, to make collection and recycling easier. It applies to the recycling, reuse and disposal of waste batteries. It was issued on 17 September 2018 and has applied since 1 April 2019.

3 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions as defined in GB/T 34695 apply to this document.

3.1 Waste battery

Loss of use of batteries and their waste components, parts (zero parts) and waste raw materials, including scrap electricity generated in industrial production processes Pools, scrapped semi-finished products, and batteries that have lost their usefulness in industrial use, daily life, or circulation.

3.2 Battery waste scraps

Waste zero (parts), waste pole flakes, waste materials and other waste materials in the battery production process.

4 Classification methods

Waste batteries are divided into three sub-categories according to their sources; medium-sized ones are classified into sub-categories according to their composition. Battery manufacturers should use the waste battery in this document The 6-digit classification code is added as a boot code to the battery production code to facilitate battery recycling and recycling.

5 Coding rules and code structure

5.1 The waste battery code consists of six Arabic numerals. the first and second Arabic numerals are large-scale codes. According to GB/T 27610, the waste battery is returned.

For a large class (code 13); the third and fourth Arabic numerals are medium-order sequential codes; the fifth and sixth Arabic numerals are small-class sequential codes, used batteries The classification code structure is shown in Figure 1.
