Scope

GB/T 36487-2018 is the English-translated version of 印刷机械柔性版数字直接制版机.

GB/T 36487-2018 covers digital flexo direct plate setters, the printing machines that use laser technology to record bitmap information directly onto a digital flexographic plate.

It applies to external drum machines with laser imaging and defines terms such as raster image processor and repeatability.

This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

1 Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, types and basic parameters, requirements, test methods, inspection rules and marking, packaging, transportation and storage of the flexographic digital direct platesetter.

This standard is applicable to the outer drum type plate making machine (hereinafter referred to as the plate making machine) of the flexible version of the digital direct plate making machine for external drum type laser imaging.

3 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1 Flexographic digital platesetter

A device that uses laser technology to record bitmap bitmap information directly on a single digital flexographic plate.

3.2 Raster image processor

The layout information described in the page description language is interpreted and converted into software and hardware that outputs the recorded data. [GB/T 9851.2-2008, definition 5.6]

3.3 Repeatability

On the same plate-making machine, in the same environment, a plate with the same data is mounted on the plate carrier for repeated exposure. The resulting data difference.
