1 Scope

This standard specifies the terminology, classification, requirements, test methods and quality control of veneer lumber for wood structures as well as marking, packaging and storage.

This standard applies to veneer lumber used as a structural material in wood construction.

3 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions defined in GB/T 18259 and GB 50005 apply to this document.

4 Classification

4.1 According to the pretreatment.

a) veneer lumber for wood structures without preservative, insect repellent or flame retardant treatment;

b) veneer lumber for wood structures treated with anti-corrosion, insect-repellent or flame-retardant treatment.

4.2 According to the thickness processing status.

a) veneer lumber for wood structures that are not thickened;

b) veneer lumber for wood structures with fixed thickness.
