Scope
GB/T 36362-2018 is the English-translated version of LED应用产品可靠性试验的点估计和区间估计(指数分布).
GB/T 36362-2018 sets out how to estimate the reliability of LED applied products from test data when failures follow an exponential distribution.
It covers how the data are acquired and processed to obtain a point estimate, a single value standing for an unknown parameter such as mean time between failures or failure rate, and an interval estimate around it at a given confidence level, with 60% and 90% confidence used as examples.
The standard also deals with samples, failure criteria, data validity, data processing and the test report, and has informative annexes with a test data table and a test case.
It applies to laboratory reliability tests and field-use data of LED applied products whose life follows an exponential or approximately exponential distribution. It was issued on 7 June 2018 and has applied since 1 January 2019.

Foreword
This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
Introduction
This standard will be used for point estimation of reliability tests for LED applications and interval estimates of given confidence (in exponential distribution). Point estimate The meter is a single value that is used to represent the unknown true value of a statistical parameter, such as mean time between failures and failure rate. Confidence is specified in the estimate Confidence limits around values. This standard adopts the confidence of 60% and 90% as an example to give LED application products with 60% and 90% confidence. The average life-time without failure.
1 Scope
This standard specifies the point estimation and interval estimation data acquisition and processing methods for reliability testing of LED applications.
This standard is applicable to the number of laboratory tests for reliability test of LED applications subject to exponential or approximately exponential distribution. According to processing and field use data processing.

3 Terms and Definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1 Point estimation
A statistic is determined from multiple data of subsamples and used to estimate the unknown parameters of the population.
3.2 Interval estimation
Starting from the point estimate, the interval containing the parameter to be estimated is established according to the given probability value.
3.3 Confidence
The degree of statistical confidence in estimating the parameter characterizing the mother is based on a set of subsamples (ie, observations) from the parent.
Note: Confidence is an indicator to evaluate the reliability of a certain element. It is usually expressed as a percentage probability, generally taken as 60%.
3.4 LED application product life (single product)
Under the specified working conditions, the product reaches the working time of the specified failure criteria.
Note: It is a random variable, and after mastering the statistical laws of a batch of products, the probability that a product's life is less than a certain value can be obtained, or Probability within a certain range.
