This document does not apply to the design and installation of the following facilities. ---Overhead lines and underground cables between independent facilities; ---Electrified railway; ---Mining equipment and facilities; ---Ship facilities and offshore facilities for oil extraction; ---Electrostatic equipment such as electrostatic precipitator and spraying device; ---Test site; ---Medical X-ray equipment and other medical equipment; ---Valve Hall.

1 Scope

This document specifies the design and installation requirements of power facilities in DC systems with a nominal voltage above 1.5kV.

This document applies to the following facilities.

a) Converter station or DC switch station;

b) One or more DC power generation or storage units such as solar power farms or battery storage units on a plant site. including DC equipment
