Scope

GB/T 36180-2018 is the English-translated version of 鲁烟白猪.

GB/T 36180-2018 is the Chinese national breed standard for the Luyan white pig, and it is used to identify animals of this breed. It records the origin of the breed, developed in Laizhou, Shandong Province, from Yantai black pig, a Seghers (Sigur) dam line and Landrace in proportions of 25%, 25% and 50%, and approved in December 2007.

The standard describes the body appearance, including a white coat, medium body size, straight back and seven pairs of teats, and gives body weight, height, length and chest girth.

It sets production performance, starting with reproduction figures for gilts and multiparous sows, and the methods for measuring it. It also sets the basic requirements for breeding stock, with reference to pig registration and performance testing rules. It was issued on 14 May 2018 and has applied since 1 December 2018.

1 Scope

This standard specifies the source, body appearance, production performance, determination method and basic requirements of the species of Luyan white pig.

This standard applies to the identification of Luyan white pigs.

3 Source of variety

Luyan White Pig was bred in Laizhou City, Shandong Province, and the breeding materials used included Yantai Black Pig, Sigur Pig Maternity and Landrace Pig.

The new varieties were bred in the stages of cross-fixation and directional cultivation. The proportions of Yantai black pig, Sigur pig mother and Changbai pig were respectively 25%, 25% and 50%. In December.2007, it was approved by relevant state agencies.

4 Body appearance

4.1 Appearance features

The body of Luyan White Pig is white, with moderate hair density, medium body shape, firm body and well-balanced structure. The head is light and the ears are medium and large.

Straight mouth, straight back, fuller hindquarters, 7 pairs of nipples, neatly arranged. See Appendix A for pictures of Luyan White Pig.

4.2 Body weight

The body weight of 106 months is 106kg, the body height is 61cm, the body length is 116cm, and the bust is 104cm.

5 Production performance

5.1 Reproductive performance

The boar was adapted to the age of 160d; the sow's first gestation period was 130d, and the suitable breeding age was 160d. The average total litter size of primiparous sows is 11 The number of babies is 10, the birth weight is 1.3kg, the 21-day-old nest weight is 47.9kg; the average total litter size of the sows is 13 and the live births are 12, the birth weight 1.4kg, 21 days old, weighing 73.0kg.
