Scope
GB/T 36101-2018 is the English-translated version of LED显示屏干扰光评价要求.
GB/T 36101-2018 deals with obtrusive light from LED panels at night, meaning light whose brightness, chromaticity or screen switching speed causes discomfort or reduced visual performance.
It classifies the obtrusive light of LED panels, gives the requirements for evaluating it and sets requirements for the functional characteristics of the panels.
It applies to evaluating the effect of LED panels on residents and on motor vehicle drivers at night, and places no requirement on daytime obtrusive light.
Its terms include obtrusive light and curfew, the period in which obtrusive light is controlled, and it draws on lighting terminology, LED display specifications and measurement methods, and the urban nightscape lighting design code JGJ/T 163. The standard was issued on 15 March 2018 and has applied since 1 October 2018.

1 Scope
This Standard specifies classification and evaluation requirements for obtrusive light at night of LED panels.
This Standard applies to the evaluation of LED panels on the obtrusive light of residents and motor vehicle drivers at night. The daytime obtrusive light of LED panels is not required.
