Scope
GB/T 35846-2018 is the English-translated version of 发光二极管照明用玻璃管.
GB/T 35846-2018 covers glass tubes used for LED lighting; it does not apply to milk glass tubes. It sets out the terms and definitions, including defects of the tube such as knots, devitrification and stones, the requirements, the test methods, the inspection rules, and the marking, packaging, transport and storage of the tubes.
Among the standards it refers to are methods for glass density, transmittance, the average coefficient of thermal expansion, the water resistance of glass grains at 121 °C, internal stress, annealing and strain point, and the determination of six restricted substances in electrical and electronic products.
Inspection sampling follows GB/T 2828.1 and GB/T 2829. It was issued on 6 February 2018 and has applied since 1 January 2019.

1 Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, markings, packaging, and transportation of glass tubes for LED lighting. And storage.
This standard applies to glass tubes for LED lighting and does not apply to milk glass tubes.

3 Terms and Definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1 Light-emitting diode lighting glass tube
The glass straight pipe has a precise round mouth and a certain size, which can meet the needs of LED lighting.
3.2 Knot
The glass tube has a transparent, nodular glass body that differs from the glass main component.
3.3 Devitrification
Glass forms crystals during molding or hot working.
3.4 Stone
Glass tube contains opaque solid inclusions.
