1 Scope

This standard specifies the method of measuring the electromagnetic parameters of liquid materials using an open coaxial probe in the microwave frequency band.

This standard applies to the range of 100MHz ~ 50GHz coaxial probe using open coaxial, isotropic liquid materials

Relative permittivity and loss tangent detection.

2 Normative references

3 Terms and definitions

GB/T 4365 defined and the following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1 Complex dielectric constant

Can be calculated by equation (1).

epsilon = epsilon0. epsilonr = epsilon0 (epsilon'-jepsilon ") (1)

In the formula.

epsilon0 --- vacuum dielectric constant, equal to 8.85 × 10-12F/m;

epsilonr --- complex relative permittivity;

epsilon '--- the real part of the relative permittivity;

epsilon "--- the imaginary part of relative permittivity.

NOTE The complex dielectric constant referred to in this standard actually refers to the relative dielectric constant, and the relative permittivity of the real part of epsilon 'and dielectric loss tangent tandeltaepsilon = epsilon "/ epsilon 'characterization.

4 test sample requirements

Test sample is uniform, isotropic liquid material, placed in a glass container, the sample dose should meet the type (2), type (3).

S not less than 10S1 (2) h>=80mm (3)

In the formula.

S --- test sample surface area of the test surface, in square meters (m2);

S1 --- probe terminal surface area, in square meters (m2);

h --- test sample depth.

Samples without impurities, before the test should ensure that the liquid even without bubbles.
