Scope
GB/T 35446-2017 is the English-translated version of 纺织品 某些有机溶剂的测定.
GB/T 35446-2017 fixes a method for determining the residual amount of nine organic solvents in textiles by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC/MSD) or by gas chromatography with a flame ionization detector (GC/FID), the nine solvents being listed in its Annex A. Clause 1 states that it applies to all kinds of textile products.
The principle set out in clause 2 is extraction of the residual organic solvents from the sample with methanol in an ultrasonic bath, followed by concentration and making up to volume and then by detection with gas chromatography-mass spectrometry or gas chromatography with a hydrogen flame ionization detector, with identification based on retention time and on selected mass spectrometric ions and with quantification against an external standard.
Clause 3 covers reagents and materials: all reagents of analytical grade or purer, methanol verified by testing to be free of organic solvents and other interfering substances, methanol of chromatographic purity, organic solvent reference materials, a standard stock solution of about 1000 mg/L that may be kept in a refrigerator at 0 to 4 degrees Celsius for six months, and a mixed standard working solution of 1 mg/L obtained by stepwise dilution with methanol and prepared fresh for use.
Clause 4 lists the instruments and equipment, among them a gas chromatograph with a mass selective detector, a gas chromatograph with a hydrogen flame ionization detector, balances readable to 0.01 mg and to 0.01 g, an ultrasonic generator working at 40 kHz, 50 mL extraction vessels of hard glass closed with a screw cap, concentration bottles, a rotary evaporator and 0.45 micrometre nylon microporous membranes.
A warning at the head of the text states that users of the standard should have formal laboratory experience, that the standard does not identify all possible safety problems, and that it is the user who is responsible for taking appropriate safety and health measures and for ensuring compliance with the relevant national laws and regulations.
It was proposed by the China Textile Industry Federation and is administered by the National Technical Committee for Textile Standardization (SAC/TC209). The standard was issued on 29 December 2017 and has applied since 1 July 2018.

Foreword
This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
1 Scope
This standard specifies the use of gas chromatography - mass spectrometry (GC/MSD) or gas chromatography - flame ionization detector (GC/FID) determination Textiles in 9 kinds of organic solvents (see Appendix A) residual amount of the method.
This standard applies to all kinds of textile products.
2 Principle
Methanol in the ultrasonic bath to extract residual organic solvents in the sample, after concentration by volume gas chromatography - mass spectrometry or gas chromatography - hydrogen Flame ionization detector for detection, qualitative analysis based on retention time and/or mass spectrometry selected ions, external standard quantitative.
3 Reagents and materials
Unless otherwise indicated, all reagents used in the analysis are analytical grade or above purity reagents.
3.1 Methanol, after the test detected no organic solvent or other interfering substances exist.
3.2 Methanol. Chromatographic purity.
3.3 Organic solvent reference material.
3.4 Standard stock solution (1000mg/L). Weigh the appropriate amount of organic solvent reference material, respectively, with methanol (3.2) or other suitable solvents Prepared into a concentration of about 1000mg/L standard stock solution.
Note: The standard stock solution is stored in a refrigerator at 0 °C to 4 °C for a period of 6 months.
3.5 Mixed standard working solution (1mg/L) were respectively draw the standard solution of organic solvent solution (3.4) placed in the same volumetric flask with methanol (3.2) diluted to 1mg/L step by step. Now with the current use.
Note: According to the needs can be formulated into other suitable concentrations.
4 Instruments and equipment
4.1 Gas Chromatograph with mass selective detector (GC/MSD).
4.2 Gas Chromatograph with Hydrogen Flame Ionization Detector (GC/FID).
4.3 Balance. Sense of 0.01mg and 0.01g respectively.
4.4 ultrasonic generator. Operating frequency is 40kHz.
4.5 Extractor.50 mL, made of hard glass with screw cap seal.
4.6 Concentrate the bottle.
4.7 Rotary evaporator.
4.8 organic microporous membrane 0.45µm, nylon membrane.
