Foreword

This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

1 Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, test principles, test equipment, and tests for determining the interlaminar shear strength of fiber metal laminates using the short beam method.

Sample, state adjustment, test procedure, calculation and results representation, test report. The double beam method is given in Appendix A for reference.

This standard applies to thermoset or thermoplastic continuous fiber reinforced metal laminates that can undergo interlayer shear failure.

This standard does not apply to the determination of design parameters, but can be used to screen materials or as a quality control test.
