Scope
GB/T 35096-2018 is the English-translated version of SiC颗粒增强铝基复合材料 锻材.
GB/T 35096-2018 covers forgings made from SiC particle reinforced aluminum matrix composites by die forging or free forging. The composites are prepared by fusion casting, with SiC particles as the reinforcement at a volume fraction below 40% and aluminum alloys such as 2A14, 7A04 and 6A61 as the matrix.
The standard gives terms and definitions, a classification by matrix alloy, SiC volume fraction and heat treatment state with designations such as 10% SiC/2A14-T6, and the technical requirements, inspection methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage.
It applies to forgings used in aerospace, automotive and other fields. Its test references include Brinell hardness, thermal expansion, ultrasonic and radiographic inspection, and image analysis of reinforcement content. It was issued on 14 May 2018 and has applied since 1 April 2019.

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1 SiC particle reinforced aluminum matrix composite forging material
Various forging materials made by SiC particle reinforced aluminum matrix composites by forging process such as die forging or free forging. among them SiC particle reinforced aluminum matrix composites are prepared by fusion casting method. The reinforcement is SiC particles, and the matrix is 2A14, 7A04, 6A61 and other aluminum alloy, the volume fraction of the reinforcement is less than 40%.
4 Classification and identification
The forged product is classified according to the type of substrate selected, the volume fraction of the reinforcing SiC particles, the heat treatment state, and the like. Typical product See the example for the grade. Example:
The SiC particle reinforced aluminum matrix composite material having a volume fraction of SiC particles of 10%, a matrix of 2A14 aluminum alloy, and a heat treatment state of T6 is expressed as.
10% SiC/2A14-T6
SiC particles have a volume fraction of 10%
Aluminum matrix is 2A14 aluminum alloy
Heat treatment state is T6
