Scope

GB/T 35065.1-2018 is the English-translated version of 湿天然气流量测量 第1部分:一般原则.

GB/T 35065.1-2018 lays down the general rules for measuring the flow of wet natural gas in onshore and offshore oil and gas fields.

It defines terms such as wet natural gas, phase, multiphase flow and gas volume fraction, sets out the purposes of measurement and classifies wet gas flow patterns in horizontal, vertically rising and vertically descending flow.

It describes three measurement approaches: gas phase flow with a correction factor, gas-liquid two-phase flow and gas-water-hydrocarbon three-phase flow. It also gives general principles for design and installation, commissioning, performance testing, operation and maintenance, and uncertainty assessment.

The measurements support gas reservoir management, well production optimisation, hydrate control, production calculation and sales allocation. It was prepared with reference to ISO/TR 12748:2015, was issued on 14 May 2018 and has applied since 1 December 2018.

Foreword

This section is the first part of the wet gas flow measurement standard.

This part is drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

Introduction

Wet natural gas flow measurement standards are divided into general principles, standard equipment technical requirements, differential pressure flowmeters, spiral vortex flowmeters, two-phase wet Natural gas flowmeter, multi-phase wet natural gas flowmeter, performance evaluation of measurement system, etc.

Wet natural gas flow measurement for gas reservoir dynamic management, gas well production capacity optimization, hydrate control and flow during wet natural gas transportation operations Dynamic safeguards, production calculations and sales allocations provide basic data for calculations and design and are one of the key measurement methods in the upstream field of natural gas.

This part is formulated with reference to ISO /T R12748.2015 "Measurement of Wet Natural Gas Flow in Natural Gas Production".

Caution - This section does not cover all security issues related to its application. Before using this section, the user is responsible for making the corresponding Safety and protection measures and clarify the scope of their limitations.

1 Scope

This part of GB/T 35065 specifies the classification of wet natural gas flow, the method of flow measurement, and the selection, installation and commissioning of flowmeters. General principles for testing, operation and maintenance, and uncertainty assessment.

This section applies to wet natural gas flow measurements in onshore and offshore oil and gas fields.

3 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions as defined in GB/T 20604 apply to this document.

3.1 Wet natural gas

The natural gas volume dominates the gas-liquid two-phase flow, and its relative humidity reaches a saturated state.

3.2 Phase

Three components of gas, water and hydrocarbon liquids in wet natural gas.

3.3 Multiphase flow

A fluid composed of two or more of a gas phase, an aqueous phase, and a hydrocarbon liquid phase.

3.4 Gas volume fraction; GVF

Under the working conditions, the ratio of gas volume flow to total fluid flow, GVF can be expressed as the ratio or percentage, see equation (1).

In the formula.

GVF---gas volume fraction, dimensionless;

Qg --- gas volume flow in cubic meters (m³);

Ql --- liquid volume flow in cubic meters (m³).

Note: Rewrite the definition of GB/T 20604-2006, 2.5.3.1.1.
