Scope

GB/T 3460-2017 is the English-translated version of 钼酸铵.

China's national standard for ammonium molybdate. It specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transport, storage, quality certificate and contract or order content for ammonium dimolybdate and ammonium heptamolybdate. These are the compounds through which almost all molybdenum passes on its way from ore to metal. Molybdenite concentrate is roasted to the oxide, the oxide is leached with ammonia, and the molybdenum crystallises out of that solution as an ammonium molybdate - which is the point at which the impurities are left behind. Everything downstream depends on this step: the purity of the molybdenum metal powder, of the ferromolybdenum used in steel, and of the catalysts that carry molybdenum are all determined by how well it was done. Ammonium heptamolybdate is also a reagent in its own right, used in the classic colorimetric determination of phosphate that every water and soil laboratory runs, which is why its specification has to be tighter than a metallurgical intermediate would otherwise need.

Foreword

This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009. This standard replaces GB/T 3460-2007 "ammonium molybdate." This standard compared with GB/T 3460-2007, the following major changes.

--- Revised product classification requirements;

--- Modify the scope of molybdenum content;

--- Increasing the requirements of Cr, Ti and other elements;

--- Adjust the requirements of Ca, Mg, Na, K, W and other impurity elements;

--- Revised product use requirements;

--- Modify the loose density of the product;

--- Increase the Fischer particle size of the technical indicators;

--- Modify the product screening requirements;

--- Increasing the product sample preparation requirements;

--- Modify the product shelf life requirements. This standard is proposed by China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association. This standard by the National Standardization Technical Committee non-ferrous metals centralized (SAC/TC243). This standard was drafted unit. Jinduicheng Molybdenum Co., Ltd., Zhuzhou Cemented Carbide Group Co., Ltd., non-ferrous metal technology economic research Institute. The main drafters of this standard. Fan Jianjun, Wang Guo Liang, Lin Bai Chao, Xu Jianchang, Ma Zhijun, Yang Yan, Liu Yanbo, Liu Tiemei, Wu Yanhua. This standard replaces the standards previously issued as.

1 Scope

China's national standard for ammonium molybdate. It specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transport, storage, quality certificate and contract or order content for ammonium dimolybdate and ammonium heptamolybdate. These are the compounds through which almost all molybdenum passes on its way from ore to metal. Molybdenite concentrate is roasted to the oxide, the oxide is leached with ammonia, and the molybdenum crystallises out of that solution as an ammonium molybdate - which is the point at which the impurities are left behind. Ammonium heptamolybdate is also a reagent in its own right, used in the classic colorimetric determination of phosphate that every water and soil laboratory runs, which is why its specification has to be tighter than a metallurgical intermediate would otherwise need.

This standard specifies the requirements of two ammonium molybdate, ammonium molybdate and ammonium heptamolybdate, test methods, inspection rules and signs, packaging, transportation, storage Deposit, quality certificate and contract (or purchase order) content. This standard applies to various methods of production of ammonium molybdate.
