3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1 Latex
By the monomer (the same, two or more different monomers) by emulsion polymerization polymerization emulsion (or copolymer emulsion), but also by the liquid
Polymer emulsion formed by the emulsion. Emulsion systems include polymers, emulsifiers, stabilizers, dispersants, defoamers, water and the like.
Also known as latex.
3.2 Redispersible polymer powder
Redispersible powder is the resin emulsion pretreatment (adding protective colloid, anti-caking agent, etc.), and then by spray-drying process
Polymer powder; this powder is mixed again with water and redispersed in water. The performance of the new emulsion is basically the same as that of the original emulsion.
3.3 Burning residue
Samples of carbonized, high temperature burning residue after the material. Commonly known as ash.
3.4 Reference concrete or mortar
Under the same test conditions, cement, aggregate and water are mixed to form cement concrete or mortar without any latex or redispersible polymer powder.
