Scope
GB/T 34308.3-2017 is the English-translated version of 体育信息分类与代码 第3部分：运动生理生化与营养指标代码.
GB/T 34308.3-2017 fixes the classification, the coding method and the codes for exercise physiology, exercise biochemistry and sports nutrition indicators. Clause 1 applies this part to the identification, processing and exchange of information on those indicators within information processing systems.
The foreword presents it as Part 3 of GB/T 34308 on the classification and coding of sports information, a standard divided into four parts covering the classification and coding guidelines, athletic competition event codes, the indicator codes of this part, and sports medicine indicator codes.
Clause 2 sets out the terms the classification rests on, defining exercise as the activity produced by the skeletal muscles of the body, exercise physiology as the science characterizing the physiological activity associated with the bodily changes brought about by physical activity, exercise biochemistry as the science characterizing the biochemical changes in bodily function under the influence of exercise, and sports nutrition as the field that applies nutrition, medicine, exercise physiology and biochemistry and training theory to the nutritional needs and metabolism of physically active people, to nutritional monitoring and assessment, to methods of dietary supplementation and to related health questions.
Clause 3 states the classification and coding rules: the classification of the indicators is to be determined comprehensively from the physiological systems of the human body and the characteristics of sports training, and the indicators are divided into exercise physiology, exercise biochemistry and sports nutrition groups set out in a table, according to the practical needs of information processing in this field.
The same clause requires a line classification with a hierarchical code, in which the categories chosen at each of several levels are arranged in order so that the classification expands step by step, and fixes the code at three layers of two Arabic numerals each, shown in a code structure diagram.
The part was proposed and is administered by the State Sports General Administration and was drafted by its Sports Science Institute. It was issued on 7 September 2017 and has applied since 1 April 2018.

Foreword
GB/T 34308 "sports information classification and code" is divided into the following sections.

1 Scope
GB/T 34308 provisions of this part of the sports physiology and nutrition index classification, coding methods and codes.
This section applies to the information processing system for sports physiology and biochemistry and nutrition indicators of information identification, processing and exchange.
2 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
2.1 Exercise
The body produces skeletal muscle activity.
2.2 Exercise Physiology
Characterization of a body under the influence of physical changes in physical activity-related physiological activities of a science.
2.3 Exercise biochemistry
Characterization of a body of science under the influence of exercise on biochemical changes in body function.
2.4 Sports nutrition
Characterize the use of nutrition, medicine, exercise physiology and biochemistry and sports training theory and methods to study the physical activity of people nutrition Needs and metabolism, nutrition monitoring and evaluation, dietary supplementation methods and technology and nutrition-related health issues.
3 Classification and coding methods
3.1 Exercise Physiological and biochemical indicators of nutrition classification should be based on human physiological systems and sports training characteristics of a comprehensive determination.
