Scope
GB/T 18266.3-2017 is the English-translated version of 体育场所等级的划分 第3部分：游泳场馆星级划分及评定.
GB/T 18266.3-2017 is Part 3 of the GB/T 18266 series on ranking sports facilities, and sets out the star rating of swimming pool venues.
It gives the general rules - basic conditions, management documents, service commitment and basic requirements - then the star levels and the grounds for assigning them, and the conditions a venue must meet for each class, C, B and A. The test and evaluation methods cover pool facilities, water quality, hygiene and environment, safety, staff management and qualifications, supporting services, and management and service quality.
It applies to the star rating and management of swimming pools that have been open for more than one year, and takes from GB 19079.1-2013 the definitions of swimming pool, social sports instructor and swimming lifeguard. It was issued on 7 September 2017 and has applied since 1 April 2018.

3 Terms and definitions
GB 19079.1-2013 defined and the following terms and definitions adapted to this document. For ease of use, the following list is repeated GB 19079.1-2013 some of the terms and definitions.
3.1 Star level
Said swimming pool venue level logo.
3.2 Swimming pool
Man-made pools of different shapes for swimming, competitions, training, relaxation and fitness in the water. [GB 19079.1-2013, Definition 3.1]
3.3 Social Sports Instructors (Swimming)
Swimmers engaged in swimming skills teaching, scientific fitness guidance and organizational management personnel. [GB 19079.1-2013, Definition 3.2]
3.4 Swimming lifeguard
Swimmers in the swimmer's safety and effective observation and protection of drowning rescue, and medical staff before arrival first aid at the scene. [GB 19079.1-2013, Definition 3.3]
