Scope
GB/T 34038-2017 is the English-translated version of 码垛机器人通用技术条件.
GB/T 34038-2017 is the Chinese national general technical specification for palletizing robots.
It sets out the classification of the robots and the categories of their end effectors, the performance characteristics, the technical requirements, the test methods, the inspection rules and the inspection items, and the rules for marking, packaging, transport and storage; the normative Annex A fixes the flange interface dimensions of the end effector.
Clause 3 defines palletizing robot, pallet and pallet magazine, and takes its other terms from the robotics vocabulary of GB/T 12643. It applies to palletizing robots of every kind, that is industrial robots that place products of uniform outline onto designated pallets according to a set pattern. It was issued on 31 July 2017 and has applied since 1 February 2018.

3 Terms and definitions
GB/T 12642-2013, GB/T 12643-2013, GB/T 12644-2001 and the following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1 Palletizing robot paletizing robot
