GB/T 34006-2017 is the English-translated version of 复合材料用腰果酚改性酚醛树脂.
GB/T 34006-2017 is the Chinese national product standard for the cardanol modified phenolic resin used in composite materials. It gives the terms, the classification and marking, the technical requirements, the test methods, the inspection rules and the packaging, transport and storage requirements.
It applies to the thermoplastic resin obtained by replacing part of the phenol with cardanol, polycondensing with formaldehyde under acidic conditions and stripping the small molecules under vacuum.
Table 1 divides the product into three classes by the share of cardanol in the total phenols: CPF-1, CPF-2 and CPF-3. The methods it cites are the Karl Fischer water determination of GB/T 606, the sampling of GB/T 6678, the rosin tests of GB/T 8146 and the flow distance on glass of HG/T 2753. It was issued on 12 July 2017 and has applied since 1 June 2018.

1 Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions cardanol modified phenolic resin composite materials (hereinafter referred to as cardanol phenol resin modified) terms and definitions, points Class and marking, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking, transport and storage requirements.
This standard applies to replace part of phenol with cardanol, under acidic conditions with formaldehyde polycondensation, obtained by vacuum removal of small molecules Thermoplastic modified phenolic resin products.

3.1 Cardanol modified phenolic resin
