d) The diameter ranges of 29 structural steel wire ropes such as 6×7 and 6×19S have been changed (see Table 1, Table 1 of the 2017 edition);
e) The marking of 6×V25 type special-shaped strand wire rope has been changed (see Table 1, Table 1 of the 2017 edition);
f) The lubrication requirements and elongation requirements in the order content have been deleted (see Chapter 4 of the 2017 edition);
g) Added the requirements for the nominal tensile strength of steel wire used for different grades of steel wire ropes (see Table 3);
h) Added composite rope core types (see 6.2.1);
i) Changed the requirements for ordinary grease and friction-increasing grease for wire ropes (see 6.3, 5.3 of the 2017 edition);
j) The requirements for the diameter of wire ropes for butt welding and splicing have been changed (see 7.3, 6.2.3 of the 2017 edition);
k) The allowable deviation of the diameter of the compacted strand wire rope is changed to "0~ 5%d" (see Table 4, Table 3 of the 2017 edition);
l) The allowable deviation of the length of the steel wire rope with a nominal length of more than 1 500 m is increased (see Table 5);
m) The elongation requirement has been deleted (see 6.7 of the 2017 edition);
n) Deleted the weight factor and minimum breaking force factor of 4×V35N, 23×K7, 6×Q19.6×V21FC wire rope category (see
Table 5 of the 2017 edition);
o) Added weight coefficients and minimum breaking force coefficients of 13 types of wire ropes, including 7×19, 7×36, 8×K19 (see Table 6);
p) The weight coefficients of 13 wire rope categories, including 6×7, 6×V8, 18×K7, and 4 wire rope categories, including 6×K7, 35 (W)×K7, etc., have been changed.
Minimum breaking force coefficient of wire rope category (see Table 6, Table 5 of the 2017 edition);
q) The calculation formula for the minimum breaking force of steel wire [see formula (3), 2017 version of formula (3)] and the actual breaking force of steel wire have been changed.
