Scope
GB/T 33931-2017 is the English-translated version of 矿井提升机 天轮和导向轮 修复工艺要求.
GB/T 33931-2017 is the Chinese national standard for repairing the head sheaves and guide pulleys of mine hoists. It fixes the repair process, the technical documents that go with a repaired product, and its marking, packaging, transport and storage.
It applies to the head sheave of single rope winding hoists and to the head sheave and guide pulley of multi rope friction hoists.
A wheel may be repaired only if it has double row radial spherical roller bearings, a pad protecting the wire rope at the rope groove and complies with the Coal Mine Safety Regulations and GB 16423; otherwise it is replaced whole.
It also lists the defects that send a wheel back to the works, such as bearing damage or an over worn liner. It was issued on 12 July 2017 and has applied since 1 February 2018.

This standard is drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
1 Scope
This standard specifies the mine hoist wheel and guide wheel repair process methods, repair products accompanying technical documents, repair products, signs, Packaging, transportation and storage.
This standard applies to the single-rope winding mine hoist of the wheel, multi-rope friction mine hoist wheel and guide wheel (hereinafter referred to as "Wheel/guide wheel").

3 Wheel and guide wheel repair process
3.1 General requirements
3.1.1 Repair can be done with the following requirements when the wheel/guide wheel of the mine hoist meets the following requirements.
a) using double row radial spherical roller bearings;
b) a gasket with a protective wire rope at the rope groove;
c) comply with the "Coal Mine Safety Regulations" and GB 16423.
Does not meet the above requirements of the wheel/guide wheel should not be repaired, should be replaced as a whole.
3.1.2 When the following defects occur, the wheel/guide wheel should be returned to the factory for repair.
a) bearing damage;
b) the liner is over-worn;
c) shaft inspection failed;
d) Shaft has a scratch or corrosion defect;
e) fixed wheel keys loose;
f) Excessive wear of wheel bearings;
g) the bucket wheel of the cruise wheel;
