Scope

GB/T 33926-2017 is the English-translated version of 不锈钢环压式管件.

GB/T 33926-2017 is the Chinese national standard for ring-compression stainless steel pipe fittings. It gives the terms and definitions, the classification and marking, the structure types and dimensions, the technical requirements, the tests, the inspection rules and the provisions on packaging, transport and storage of the fittings.

It applies to the design, manufacture and acceptance of ring-compression fittings joined to stainless steel pipe with nominal size up to DN150 and nominal pressure up to PN25 for drinking water, cold and hot water, seawater and fire fighting, up to PN16 for medical gas, negative pressure, compressed air and siphonic drainage, and up to PN4 for gas.

It defines the ring compression connection, the mechanical joint made by squeezing the fitting, the cylindrical rubber seal and the stainless steel tube together in the circumferential direction with a dedicated tool.

Annex A gives the structure and basic dimensions of the fittings, Annex B the seals and Annex C the stainless steel pipes the fittings connect. It cites GB/T 191, GB/T 4334-2008, GB/T 7306.1, GB/T 7306.2, GB/T 7307, GB/T 10125, GB/T 12771, GB/T 17219, GB/T 21873-2008, GB/T 23658-2009, GB/T 27572-2011, GB/T 28604-2012, GB/T 29038 and ASTM A763.

It carries ICS 23.040.60 and Chinese classification J15, was issued on 12 July 2017 and has applied since 1 February 2018.
