Scope

GB/T 33864-2017 is the English-translated version of 质谱仪通用规范.

GB/T 33864-2017 is the general specification for mass spectrometers, the instruments that ionise a sample, separate the ions by mass-to-charge ratio using electromagnetic fields and measure the ion current.

It fixes the terms and definitions, the classification, the requirements, the test methods and the inspection rules, and the marking, packaging, transport and storage.

It applies to instruments used for qualitative and quantitative analysis by mass spectrometry, but not to leak detectors or other special equipment, and it does not deal with the other instruments or the sample pretreatment devices that may be used with a mass spectrometer.

Its definitions fix mass accuracy, mass range and mass resolution. It cites GB/T 191-2008, GB 4793.1-2007, GB/T 11606-2007, GB/T 13384-2008, GB/T 13966-2013 and GB/T 18268.1-2010. It was issued on 12 July 2017 and has applied since 1 February 2018.

Foreword

This standard is drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

1 Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions of the mass spectrometer, classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage.

This standard applies to the use of mass spectrometry technology for qualitative and quantitative analysis of the instrument.

This standard does not apply to leak detectors and other special equipment.

Note: This standard does not involve the use of other instruments with the mass spectrometer, sample pretreatment devices.

2 Normative reference documents

3 Terms and definitions

The definitions and terms defined in GB/T 13966-2013 and the following definitions and terms apply to this document.

3.1 Mass spectrometer

So that the measured material ionization to form different mass-to-charge ratio of ions, the use of electromagnetic principle to ion separation in accordance with the mass ratio and determination of ion current The instrument, usually by the injection system, ion source, mass analyzer, ion detector, vacuum system, electronic measurement and control system and data processing system And other major components.

3.2 Quality accuracy mass accuracy

The mass spectrometer measures the deviation of the mass and the theoretical value of an ion.

3.3 Mass range

The mass spectrometer can determine the range from lowest to highest mass to charge ratio, expressed as "lowest mass ratio to maximum mass to charge ratio".

Note: the mass ratio of the unit is u, also used amu said.

3.4 Mass resolution

The ability of the mass spectrometer to distinguish two adjacent mass peaks.

Note: There are two calculation methods.
