Scope
GB/T 33862-2017 is the English-translated version of 全(半)自动凯氏定氮仪.
GB/T 33862-2017 is the Chinese national specification for fully automatic and semi-automatic Kjeldahl nitrogen analyzers. It gives the terms and definitions, the requirements, the test methods, the inspection rules and the marking, packaging, transport and storage of the instrument.
Among the terms it defines are the Kjeldahl method itself, digestion, in which the sample is heated with sulfuric acid and a catalyst at about 400 degrees C so that organic and ammonia nitrogen become ammonium ions, distillation, and the automatic Kjeldahl analyzer, which performs reagent dosing, distillation, absorption, titration and output on its own.
It applies to instruments that determine nitrogen by digestion, distillation, absorption and titration according to the Kjeldahl method. It cites GB/T 191-2008, GB/T 2829-2002, GB 4793.1-2007, GB/T 6682-2008, GB/T 11606-2007 and GB/T 13384-2008, was issued on 12 July 2017 and has applied since 1 February 2018.

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1 Kjeldahl method
A method for the determination of nitrogen content in a compound or mixture. Under the conditions of the catalyst, the sample was digested with concentrated sulfuric acid to make the nitrogen compound Are converted to ammonium salts, distilled under alkaline conditions, converting ammonium salts into ammonia, condensed with water vapor, and absorbed in excess boric acid solution to Acid standard solution titration, the consumption of acid standard solution to calculate the nitrogen content of the sample.
3.2 Digestion
The sample was heated at about 400 °C with sulfuric acid and catalyst to convert the nitrogen and ammonia nitrogen in the organic compound to ammonium ions process.
3.3 Distillation
With water vapor in the alkaline environment will be ammonium into ammonia, and water vapor out of the process.
3.4 Automatic Kjeldahl nitrogen instrument
According to Kjeldahl method for nitrogen content determination, the digested samples after the automatic quantitative reagents, distillation, absorption, titration and output Test the instrument.
