Scope

GB/T 33856-2017 is the English-translated version of 应急声系统设备主要性能测试方法.

GB/T 33856-2017 gives the methods for measuring the main characteristics of the equipment making up a sound system for emergency purposes, a system able to broadcast into a protected area when an emergency occurs.

It covers the tests on emergency loudspeakers and on control and indicating equipment. It applies to general sound reinforcement and distribution systems, and to similar control and indicating devices in broadcast systems whose warning signal carries no speech; it does not apply to systems with only a sounder or an electric bell.

Annexes B and C are normative: loudspeaker acoustic performance and rated noise power endurance. It cites GB/T 2421.1-2008, GB/T 3241-2010, GB/T 3785.1-2010, GB/T 6278-2012, GB/T 12060.4-2012, ISO 7240-4:2003 and IEC 60268-1:1985.

It replaces GB/T 16851-1997, was issued on 31 May 2017 and has applied since 1 December 2017.

Foreword

This standard is drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

This part of the standard instead of GB/T 16851-1997 "emergency sound system", compared with GB/T 16851-1997 main technical changes as follows.

--- adjust the scope of application;

--- modified terms and definitions;

--- Added test methods for emergency loudspeakers (see Chapter 4);

- Added control of the control and pointing device (cie) (see Chapter 5).

1 Scope

This standard specifies the test method for the main performance of the emergency sound system equipment which can be broadcast in the protected area in an emergency situation, Including testing of emergency loudspeakers, testing of control and indicating equipment.

This standard applies to general sound reinforcement and distribution systems.

This standard also applies to similar control and indicating devices used in broadcast systems where the warning signal does not include voice information.

This standard does not apply to systems with only a sounder or an electric bell.
