Scope
GB/T 33668-2017 is the English-translated version of 地铁安全疏散规范.
GB/T 33668-2017 sets out how safe evacuation is designed and managed on a metro system, in stations and in the running sections alike. It fixes the general requirements for safe evacuation, the requirements placed on civil engineering works and on equipment systems, and the operational management requirements that apply once a line runs.
It defines the quantities the design works from, among them section passenger flow, interchange volume between transfer station lines, peak-hour passenger flow and the interval tunnel, and its normative Annex A lists the emergency items a station must hold.
It applies to newly built steel-rail projects and to evacuation management on operating ones, and lets light rail, urban rapid rail and intercity railway refer to it.
It cites GB 50016 and GB 50157, was issued on 12 May 2017 and has applied since 1 November 2017.

This standard is drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
1 Scope
This standard specifies the overall requirements for the safe evacuation of subway stations and sections, the evacuation requirements of civil facilities and equipment systems, Scattered operational management requirements.
This standard applies to the safe evacuation design of the new construction project of the steel rail series and the evacuation safety management of the operating project.
Rail system, urban rapid track system, intercity railway can refer to the implementation.

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1 Section traffic flow
In a certain period of time, along a certain direction through a line section of the number of passengers.
3.2 Passenger traffic
The sum of the interchanges between the transfer station lines.
3.3 Peak hour traffic passenger volume in peak hour
One day in the subway line traffic the largest traffic within 1h.
Note: Peak hour traffic includes one-way or two-way cross-section traffic, inbound and outbound traffic, the station to accommodate traffic and passenger traffic.
3.4 Station
For the train to stop, passengers purchase tickets, waiting and take the drop and have the appropriate facilities of the place.
3.5 Station public area
Station for the passengers and managers to use the area, divided into the station public area and the station public area.
3.6 Interval
Station between the lines.
3.7 Interval tunnel
The underground structures required to drive between stations.
