Foreword
This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part
1.Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents". Drafting. This document replaces GB/T 33414-2016 "Specifications for Acupoint Application of Medications". Compared with GB/T 33414-2016, the main differences are structural adjustments and... Aside from editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows:
a) Added measures to control skin irritation when applying highly irritating medicated patches and the names of common vesicular drugs (see 4.2.4);
b) Added the names of commonly used penetration enhancers (see 4.2.5);
c) Added the names of commonly used excipients (see 4.2.6);
d) Added basic information on application method, application time, and management of adverse reactions (see 4.2.7);
e) Commonly used dosage forms have been added (see 4.3.3);
f) Common indications and their acupoint application regimens have been added (see 5.1);
g) Added precautions for the application of acupoint patches to infants and young children (see 5.2);
h) Added descriptions that doctors believe are not suitable for patients to use (see 5.3). Please note that some content in this document may involve patents. The issuing organization of this document assumes no responsibility for identifying patents. This document was proposed by the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine. 3 Terms and Definitions
The terms and definitions defined in GB/T 21709.9-2008, as well as the following terms and definitions, apply to this document.
3.1 acupoint paste Traditional Chinese medicine external treatment methods involve applying medications to acupoints to prevent and treat diseases.
3.2 Penetration enhancer Drugs that can increase the rate or amount of drug transdermal absorption.
3.3 excipient A substance that gives a drug its appropriate form and volume.
4 Drug Use
4.1 Basic Principles The acupoints and medications for application were selected based on the principles and methods of traditional Chinese medicine's syndrome differentiation and treatment. The selection of medications complied with the "Pharmacopoeia of the People's Republic of China". According to the 2020 edition, the location of acupoints must be determined according to GB/T 12346, specifying the acupoint name and location. Drugs that warm the Yang and replenish Qi, unblock the meridians and collaterals, and promote the flow of Qi and blood are the first choice. The efficacy and indications of commonly used drugs for acupoint application are shown in Appendix A.
4.2 General Requirements
4.2.1 Clinically effective prescriptions for preventing and treating diseases should be modified based on past clinical experience and regional characteristics, and should preferably be ground into powder or decocted. The plaster is used as a topical medication for acupoints to prevent and treat corresponding diseases.
