Scope
GB/T 33290.30-2024 is the English-translated version of 文物出境审核规范 第30部分:车船舆轿.
GB/T 33290.30-2024 covers vehicles, boats, carriages and sedan chairs in the export inspection series. It is one of the more unusual categories, and the objects in it are unusual in the same way: they are large, they are made of wood and textile and lacquer that survive badly, and they were used until they wore out rather than kept, so relatively few remain and those that do are often incomplete or reassembled from parts of more than one original. That last point is the examiner's real problem - a sedan chair with an old frame and later panels, or a boat with replaced timbers, is neither straightforwardly authentic nor straightforwardly not. This part establishes the review procedure for exporting cultural relics of this kind and specifies the requirements for category determination, age determination, value assessment and the formation of the review conclusion, together with the corresponding verification methods. Under ICS 97.195 and CCS Y88, it is written for the cultural relics export appraisal stations and their appraisers, for customs, and for the museums and dealers who handle large decorative and transport objects.
